We've been handing out our flyer to friends and family, and at demonstrations, as well as delivering it to the US Consulate in Edinburgh. This is the text (there's also a printable download at the end of this post):
CEASEFIRE NOW
- We call for urgent ceasefire: please save lives now.
- Stop sending arms to this area.
- Negotiate a peaceful end to this war that is acceptable to all (no ground invasion).
AID FOR GAZA
- Provide humanitarian aid: food, water, medical supplies; and work to ensure the rapid delivery of this.
- Urgently work to restore electricity: many hospitals are without power.
WORK FOR THE RELEASE OF THE HOSTAGES
- We call for the release of the Israeli civilian hostages being held in Gaza.
A NEW, JUST PEACE
- Support a new, just peace that respects the equal dignity of all human life, both Israeli and Palestinian.
- Work towards achieving a political settlement that reflects our fundamental equal human value.
We ask for Justice Now,
